How to Play

  • Use the arrow keys [↑→↓←] or W, A, S, D to move Mario. Hold the button to jump higher.

  • Press Shift or CTRL to sprint or shoot fireballs (if available).

  • Use P to pause the game and M to mute the sound.

You can explore all 32 levels in any order or play continuously.

Gameplay

Step into the role of Mario as you journey through the Mushroom Kingdom, battling Bowser’s forces to rescue Princess Toadstool. To complete each level, Mario must reach the flagpole at the end.

Along the way, collect coins and hit mystery bricks marked with a “?” to uncover extra coins or power-ups. Regular bricks may also hide valuable surprises!

Power-Ups & Abilities

  • Super Mushroom 🍄 – Transforms Mario into Super Mario, doubling his size and allowing him to break bricks. If hit in this form, he shrinks back instead of losing a life.

  • Fire Flower 🔥 – Grants Mario the power to throw bouncing fireballs at enemies.

  • Super Star ⭐ – Turns Mario into Star Mario, making him invincible for a short time. Touching enemies in this form defeats them instantly!

Enemies & Combat

Mario can defeat enemies by jumping on them, but each enemy reacts differently:

  • Goombas – Flatten and disappear when stomped.

  • Koopa Troopas – Retract into their shells, which can be kicked to attack others. Be careful—they might bounce back!

  • Some enemies can also be defeated by hitting the brick they’re standing on.

Game Structure & Boss Battles

The adventure consists of 8 worlds, each with 4 stages. The final stage in each world is a castle, where Mario confronts Bowser (or his disguised minions). To defeat Bowser, jump over him and reach the axe at the end of the bridge!

Secrets & Shortcuts

  • Underwater levels introduce new challenges and enemies.

  • Hidden bonus areas provide extra coins and rewards.

  • Warp pipes allow Mario to skip ahead to later worlds, making for exciting shortcuts!
